If a contact is older than 6 weeks, has been notified at least 4 times and still have not acted on any of the posts in the feed, it will be marked as inactive. Inactive contacts are then skipped from the posts, if you do not specifically include them.

You can always choose to include those that are inactive. Just remember they are skipped because they are not showing any interest in your posts. Your main focus should rather be on those that are showing an interest for your posts, although there are reasons to include inactives from time to time.

Including inactive contacts can hurt your email delivery. When many don’t open the email, it can more easily be interpreted as advertising.

This is not an issue when sending SMS, so sending SMS when including inactives can be better suited.

Also, making sure you have tried to reach your contacts both through email and SMS can help with reducing inactive contacts.

How to notify inactive contacts:

When you are happy with your post, click “Next” and choose who to notify. Take a last look, and click “Next” again. Here you can see if there are notifications that wont be sent. Click on the number that wont be sent, to get a list of these.

Then tick “Send to inactive”.
