Here is an overview of some questions we know many people have when using Knips for the first time. If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to contact us using the chat function at the bottom right in mobile app or web.knips.app, and we will answer as quickly as possible 😊

What is Knips?

Knips is a tool that allows you to easily engage your contacts and keep them up to date. Now you can reach them all together with a few keystrokes, either from mobile or web, on the go or in the office.

How do I make a post?

You must be granted access to a specific newsfeed from Knips or an administrator. You must then download the app "Knips - follow" or log in via web.knips.app.

When you access your newsfeed, a "+" symbol will appear in the lower right corner. If you are logged in on web, you will see “New post” in the top right corner. If you press this, you can create a post with either a picture or a video. Remember to write a text for the post. In the mobile app, you can take a photo or video directly or upload from your library.

Can you use both image and video?

Image and video can be combined in one post, as can several images. It then makes a picture carousel. You can also move the images before publishing, so that the carousel is sorted as you wish.

I have published but something went wrong. Can it be fixed?

After publishing, you can still edit the post to make it the way you want, but you can't notify your followers again or revoke the notification. Those who click the notification will still only see what you have corrected.

When should I notify?

We at Knips recommend that you notify up to once a week, but you are welcome to fill the feed with both small and large posts in the meantime. If a lead comes in and sees that something has happened that they didn't notice, they are more often triggered to go in by themselves and take a look next time. New leads often scroll through the last 8-10 posts when they come in.

More frequent and less frequent notifications than weekly is perfectly fine, but you should not notify too often without good reason. If you rarely notify, the value you get from Knips will be less.

How long should the video clips be?

It's nice to have variety here, but they certainly don't have to be long. Anything from 10 seconds upwards is good, depending on whether you are standing still and talking or filming something that is happening. Short clips are easier for more people to look through, but those who are really interested want to get as much information as possible. For them, it is easier to get this information in the form of videos and not just by text. Therefore, if you have something interesting to talk about or show, all you have to do is start filming.

Should I appear in the posts myself?

The fact that you yourself figure in the picture or video builds a relationship and trust between you and the contacts before you meet physically or come into contact in any other way. As little as a picture of you or the sound of your voice creates recognition for the contacts!

What if I don’t want to appear in the posts myself?

If you do not want to take part in a photo or video yourself, you can easily take photos of objects, apartments or the project's outdoor areas, and write a descriptive text. You could also record a video, for example of an apartment from the inside, and possibly talk at the same time. It often goes very well both with and without talking.

How do I film a room?

It works well to film a room with a camera in portrait mode if you film with a mobile phone. Just swipe around calmly.

How do I film others?

If you are to film another person talking, it is important that this is done relatively close to get good enough sound without a microphone. This applies especially where there is noise from a construction site.

Is it possible to upload a film from the computer?

Posts can always be posted from web.knips.app after you have logged in with your phone number.
